Safety Issues Group (SIG)

 

Following the Government’s review of ‘Roles and Responsibilities’ for water safety, it was recommended that the National Water Safety Committee (NWSC) be reformed to provide a one-stop-shop for water safety standards information and advice. The NWSC has now been superseded by the National Water Safety Forum (NWSF) which comprises smaller, specialised advisory groups reporting to a co-ordinating group. AINA's Safety Issues Group now forms the Inland Waters advisory group of the NWSF.
