This report presents and reviews current plans or intentions among the statutory inland navigation authorities in Britain to modernise their governing legislation. It outlines their progress in obtaining legislative change, the reasons that such change is, or has been required and the processes that are being, or have been pursued to bring about amendments to legislation.
