AINA Annual Conference 2010

The date for the 2010 AINA Annual Conference has been fixed as Monday 15 November.  The title of this year’s event will be “The future for inland waterways” and it will be held at 76 Portland Place, London W1.

The new Waterways Minister, Richard Benyon MP will provide the keynote address and an exciting programme of high-profile speakers is being put together which will look to the future and address, in particular, current proposals to move British Waterways into the civil society, which would represent the biggest change in the management of inland waterways since the formation of British Waterways in the early 1960s.

The conference will appeal to representatives of all navigation authorities across the public, private and third sectors; in addition to all waterway stakeholders, funders, user-groups and third sector organisations such as those engaging and working with volunteers.
Full details of the conference programme will be released here shortly.
